　　Chinese Music Instrument Competition for Foreign Students　Regulations

　　一、总 则

　　中国民族音乐发展至今，已得到全世界音乐爱好者的熟悉和喜爱。无论是中国大陆及港、澳、台地区，还是日本、新加坡、马来西亚、美国、加拿大等国家的中国器乐热潮也在不断升温。为了给世界各地中国器乐演奏人员创造更为良好、专业的学习机会，搭建更高的交流平台，主办机构定于2011年6月在上海音乐学院举办“外国留学生中国乐器大赛”。本次比赛属于上海市人民政府外国留学生奖学金暑期学习班——上海音乐学院“外国留学生中国民乐大师班”项目，将为共同推动中国民族音乐事业发展做出一份贡献。

　　Principle:

　　In order to create an opportunity for overseas Chinese music instrument learners to improve their levels of performance and exchange with each other, Shanghai Conservatory of Music will host Chinese Music Instrument Competition in June. The competition is part of Shanghai Summer School 2011- A Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship Program hosted by Shanghai Conservatory of Music “Chinese Music Instrument Master Class for Foreign Students”.

　　三、赛事规则

　　1、比赛分组：

　　本次比赛乐器种类包括现代中国民族管弦乐队常规编制内所有乐器，具体分组如下：

　　吹管组：笛子、笙、唢呐、管子;

　　拉弦组：二胡、高胡、中胡、板胡;

　　弹拨组：柳琴、琵琶、古筝、中阮、扬琴、三弦、古琴。

　　2、参赛年龄：

　　45岁以下均可报名参赛。

　　3、比赛规程：

　　比赛分为初赛、半决赛、决赛。

　　初赛寄送录音(像)评审;半决赛，决赛现场比赛。

　　Rules for Competition:

　　1. The competition is divided into three groups: wind instrument group ( dizi, sheng, suona, guanzi), string instrument group ( erhu, gaohu, zhonghu, banhu) and plucked instrument group ( pipa, liuqin, guzheng, zhongruan, yangqin, sanxian, guqin).

　　2. Applicant’s age should be under 45 year old

　　3. There are three rounds of competition: Preliminary, semi- final and final. Preliminary round is evaluated according to applicants’ audition recording. Semi- final and final rounds are held at Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

　　四、参赛曲目：

　　初赛为自选曲目一首。不带伴奏。(限时6分钟)

　　半决赛为自选曲目一首。选手可以自带一名伴奏。(不能重复初赛曲目。限时8分钟)

　　决赛为自选曲目两首。选手可以自带一名伴奏。(其中一首可以重复初赛或半决赛曲目，另一首不能重复初赛或半决赛曲目。总时间限时15分钟)

　　Requirement for the competition:

　　The piece for preliminary round is optional, without accompaniment. (Maximum length: 6 minutes)

　　The piece for semi-final round is an optional one with accompaniment. (Maximum length: 8 minutes, different from that for preliminary round)

　　The pieces for semi-final competition are two optional ones with accompaniment. (Total length not exceeding 15 minutes, one of which should differ from that for preliminary round or semi-final round)

　　五、奖项设置：

　　一等奖 1名 奖金10000元(人民币)

　　二等奖 3名 奖金5000元(人民币)

　　三等奖 6名 奖金2000元(人民币)

　　优秀奖10名

　　以上奖项不限组别，获奖选手将获得大赛组委会颁发的奖金及获奖证书。

　　Awards:

　　The competition will award one first prize (RMB 10,000), three second prizes (RMB 5,000 per person), six third prizes (RMB 2,000 per person).

　　六、比赛时间：

　　2011年5月4日——5月14日初赛(评审CD或录像DVD)

　　2011年5月15日以前公布进入半决赛名单(采用网上公布与电话通知两种形式)

　　2011年6月20日——6月24日半决赛

　　2011年6月27日——6月30日决赛

　　2011年7月7日(拟)颁奖典礼暨获奖选手将与上海音乐学院民族音乐系优秀演奏家同台举办获奖音乐会。

　　Time:

　　May 4 to May 14: preliminary round (the judges will evaluate the audition recordings of each applicant)

　　May 15 Announcement of semi-final round participants

　　June 20 to June 24 semi-finals round

　　June 27 to June 30 finals round

　　July 7 Award giving & Exchange Concert

　　七、报名办法

　　1、报名时间：4月6日—5月3日

　　2、报名材料：

　　(1)报名表：参赛选手可在以下网址下载报名表格

　　(2)报名照3张

　　(3)护照复印件(护照复印件需要贴有照片的一页)

　　(4)参加初赛的DVD一张(照片背面和光盘上请写明姓名，参赛乐器)寄：中国上海汾阳路20号上海音乐学院国际交流处留学生办公室，邮编：200031

　　注：选手除在外包装上注名选手姓名、国籍、参赛乐器外不得在录制内容中出现任何参赛选手的相关信息。

　　Application documents:

　　Application date: April 6 to May 3

　　Application material: Application Form, Passport copy, audition recording CD (2 pieces of song, each of which is not longer than 10 minutes), three passport sized photos.

　　Note:

　　Applicants can apply online or download application form to fill in. The application website http://www.shcmusic.edu.cn/html/lxs/ggl/index.htm Please fill in the form according to the requirement and hand-writing forms are not accepted.

　　Personal information such as applicant’s name, nationality, musical instrument should not appear in the audition recordings except on the pack of application documents.

　　Application forms can be submitted by email while the other documents should be sent by post. (Passport copy is the page with photo.)

　　3、报到地点：

　　中国上海市汾阳路20号上海音乐学院国际交流处留学生办公室。

　　4、报到时间：2011年6月19日9：00—17：00

　　注意事项

　　参赛选手必须严格遵守本比赛章程的所有规定。

　　比赛现场不准使用伴奏带，半决赛和决赛可用1人伴奏，现场只准备钢琴，伴奏人员及其伴奏乐器均有参赛选手自行解决。

　　进入半决赛选手的交通、住宿和就餐等费用均为自理。组委会只负责接待组织工作。如果需要组委会帮助介绍和推荐食宿，请提前通知组委会，方便统一安排。

　　本章程的解释权在本届比赛组委会。

　　Registration period: June 19. am.9:00 to pm.5:00

　　Note:

　　1. Competition participants should respect regulations.

　　2. Accompaniment recordings are not allowed in semi-final and final competitions. An accompanist for each participant is allowed and only piano is available.

　　3. Semi-final round participants should bear transportation, accommodation fees on their own.

　　The organizing committee keeps the final right of interpretation.
